About Me

Mama the Writer

Hello Everyone!  🙂

My name is Audrey, and I’m glad you stopped by my site today.  I hope you enjoy your time here, and I hope you are inspired when you leave!

I am a Child of God, I am humbly Blessed, and I have had my fair share of trials.  But it’s nice to know that there are people along the way who will lift you up when you fall, feed you when you are hungry, clothe you when you are naked, and teach you how your trials will help you grow in character.

As Rick Warren stated in his book The Purpose Driven Life:

“We can be reasonably happy here on earth, but that’s not the goal of life.  The goal is to grow in character, in Christ-likeness.”

Writing poetry has done precisely that for me — it has helped me build character and has allowed me to view my life in Christ through different lenses.  As much of what I write about is taken from actual events that have occurred throughout my life.  Of course, the rest comes from my overzealous, extremely overactive imagination … but all of it has helped me become who I am in Christ.

My dream is to one day be able to share my poetry through paperback publication.  I am praying for GOD’s direction and hope that you will pray with me as I set out on this journey.

No matter what happens, I will continue to use my gift to glorify HIM and continue sharing my poetry with you through this website.

“Thoughts In Poetry Form” is where I come to relax, write, and share my thoughts about life events.  I give GOD honor for my writing poetry gift, which was revealed to me in 1995, at the age of 53, when I wrote my first poem.  Since then, I have been writing poetry to lift up, entertain, and amuse readers everywhere.

So if you ever feel like you are traveling this crazy road alone, please know that you are not.  I am the silent friend in the background, always praying for GOD to bring you through.

Therefore, I implore you to be encouraged and believe that He cares.  God Bless You!

“I have been young and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor His seed begging bread.” (Psalm 37:25)
